About Vita

Hello, my name is Vita. I am the founder of Vitalia, Inc, MBA, Window Treatment and Productivity Expert. My company is devoted to servicing interior designers and architects by completing window treatments for their projects and offering productivity & business resources.

My services are simple:

  1. Create beautiful window treatments for local (Philadelphia area) designers and architects who want to take full advantage of my measuring, fabricating, and installation services
  2. Provide valuable information towards a more productive design business (for designers all over the country). Many have come to rely on my resources that feature industry and marketing news, tips, and advice designed to help you save money, save time, and be most knowledgeable in front of your clients.

Local 1-on-1 Services

So if you live in the Philadelphia area and are frustrated with your current window treatment process, I can help you. When you delegate your window treatments to me, you'll get:

  • Knowledge of how your vision can be executed, as I walk you through any potential challenges and considerations.
  • Confidence level that all details of the project are considered and taken care of.
  • Peace of mind that the project is done, while you can concentrate on other important (and numerous) aspects of your job.

You, the designer, have a vision of the most beautiful window treatment. I bring this vision to life:

  • measure all windows, walls, etc. I can meet you at the site or schedule an appointment with the customer directly.
  • provide the timely and detailed cost estimate of the project and needed yardage.
  • if you wish, I can give access to my library of fabrics and hardware.
  • once the project is started, I receive and organize the fabrics, hardware, and trim. I make sure that what you've ordered came in correctly (i.e. the right quantity of rings, rods are the right width, finish is correct for all pieces, etc) - so there are no surprises at the installation.
  • have the treatments fabricated to the highest standards of quality. My communication with the workrooms is very precise and clear, so there are no misunderstandings. Everything gets quality-checked before it's brought into the customers home.
  • can also provide the hard treatments, such as blinds and shades.
  • along with my installer, I install, steam, and dress all treatments
  • continuously communicate with you regarding the status of the project.
  • provide the photographs of the finished product.

Information Services

For the last four years, I've run a very successful Window Treatment business, where designers and homeowners received beautiful window treatments, comprehensive expertise, and organized approach. As a Certified Window Treatment Professional, I've completed 100's of installations, attended many seminars, participated in designer showhouses, won awards, made my share of mistakes, and learned from them. Through it all, I developed my own systematized and organized approach for a productive window treatment business.

Before I developed my own systems, I felt very frustrated with this business and industry in general. I thought to myself: "How hard can it be - I've run multi-million dollar corporate businesses before". But I found myself feeling constantly worried and even anxious. What if the design doesn't turn out as it was envisioned? What if something goes wrong at the client's home? What if it doesn't fit? What if it's too long, too short, too...something. So many if's!

And what about all the running around? To the workroom, from the workroom. To the client, from the client. Back to the workroom. On the phone, off the phone, back on the phone - explaining, repeating, making sure, double-checking, and rechecking again. Feeling exhausted at the end of the day, wondering what I have actually accomplished - but still not sure if the end result is perfect.

And speaking of not sure... When there are so many variables and pieces of the puzzle, it's easy to just not be 100% sure. Not sure if you took the right measurements. Not sure if you got the right amount of fabric. Not sure if the hardware will fit. Not sure if the fabric will lay right. Not sure if you charged enough. And the list goes on...

It seemed so unproductive, inefficient, unorganized, and unpredictable. I worried so much. There were sleepless nights, stress, frustration, and, let's be honest, lost money. I know all of this sounds familiar to you. I know, because I've been there. I felt it. I lived and breathed it.

And as I did, I knew in my heart that there has to be a better way. A better way to run a business. A better way to live a life. So I gathered everything I learned through the school of hard knocks, combined it with corporate-America training, added my formal marketing degrees, and relied on my own personal ability to be organized and productive. The result was my own systematized approach to running a successful, profitable, and productive design business.

Now I teach my systems through my products and programs to the designers, just like you, all around the country. You too can learn my secrets in the FREE monthly e-zine "Curtain Call for Designers" thats filled with tips, hints, news, and notes for productive and profitable design business.

My clients are...

...busy Interior Designers and Architects who value service, appreciate professionalism, and want to defer to an expert when it comes to the complex (and costly) world of window treatments. I believe that your plate is full. There are architectural plans, building contractors, finishes, space planning, paint, lighting, furniture, accessories, flooring just to mention a few. For something so complex, time-consuming, and costly, my clients turn to a true professional with the right knowledge, tools, experience, and attitude. They turn to me. I make sure that the project is completed beautifully.

My clients are also those designers who know in their heart that there is a better way to run their business. A way that is more productive, organized, and efficient. A way that allows them to enjoy more creativity and freedom.

If you're that kind of designer, I invite you to take advantage of my FREE newsletter - just let me know where to send it (at the top of the page).

Why Vita

  1. Organized, meticulous, methodical
Yes, these words describe me very well. It's just what I am by nature. It gives me pleasure to organize my computer files. It fuels me to create templates, so that recurring tasks are done right. It energizes me to know that I did something in the most efficient way possible. There is more though. Where I make these traits work for you in the design business is that I can hear my client's (yours) vision and break it down into small parts, to-do points, and check lists. I can also teach you how I've done it for my business, so you can do the same for yours. It's the right-brain-meets-left-brain ability that makes me unique.
  2. Great attitude
Attitude is everything! Positive thinking and belief that anything is possible is what I live by. When I work with my clients (designers and architects), it's never about a personal ego or proprietorship. It's about your vision and about the homeowner (the end client). Probably like I was, you're tired of "the-whole-world-owes-me" attitude among workrooms and installers. That's why I vowed to do what it takes to satisfy a reasonable client. So if it means that I have to take a second or third trip back to adjust something to her liking, than be it. And if it means that I have to remake something, than we can work it out too. There is no "it's not my fault" or "it's not my problem" attitude. We are in this together, as true partners.
  3. Knowledgeable
I have done 100's of installations. They included small windows, large windows, weird windows, two-story windows, sliding doors, French doors, bays, bows, stationary, functional, motorized, manual, the list goes on. You name it - I've done it. In this business, almost every situation is different. And I continue to learn - at every installation. But it sure does help to have all these jobs behind my belt. Experience does mean a lot. What it also means is continuing education - through seminars, webinars, industry magazines, books, newsletters - and everything I can get my hands on.
  4. "I get it".
I've heard it said to me many times: "Vita, you just get it". I understand and grasp the situation right away. You don't have to repeat, over-explain, remind, or follow up. We talk, we brainstorm solutions, I go make it happen, you forget about it. That's how simple it is.

Just a little more about me...

I was born and raised in the Ukraine and came to America via a Rotary program when I was 15 years old. I received my bachelor degree in Marketing and Fashion Merchandising from Albright College, Pa. Next ten years were spent in "corporate America", advancing through the corporate ranks to Director of Marketing for Lenox China, while also pursuing an MBA from LaSalle University. After a lot of consideration and soul searching, I decided to leave the comforts of the corporate job in pursuit of happiness and achievement as an Entrepreneur.

Honesty and integrity are the backbone of my business (as well as life) philosophy. As I run her day-to-day business, I am often reminded by my former bosses' words, which have become true guiding principles: "resilience and persistence make a path for success." While growing my endeavor, my goal is to make my customers happy and at peace in their own homes and businesses. Getting professional help, making homes more comfortable, saving time, and reducing stress does just that.

I live in Newtown, Bucks County with my best friend of 15 years and husband Vitali. We recently had our first baby boy, Anton Daniel, who is a joy and a blessing. When not tending to a curtain emergency, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, dancing, hiking, camping, and reading.
