You know what feels surreal? Looking back at photos from our very first projects and realizing that Vitalia Inc. is turning 20 this year. Two decades of bringing designers’ visions to life through custom window treatments — it’s a milestone that honestly leaves me a bit speechless.

Here I am, just starting out, at one of my first trade shows.
I’d love to pull back the curtain and share some of the story behind these incredible 20 years. Like many meaningful journeys, ours began with a leap of faith. Picture this: a 15-year-old girl arriving in America from Ukraine, armed with nothing but determination and big dreams. Fast-forward through college and a decade in the corporate world at Lenox China, and there I was in 2005, standing at a crossroads that would change everything.

From Corporate Comfort to Creative Calling
Let me be completely transparent — leaving my marketing position to start Vitalia Inc. wasn’t just about changing careers. It was about following an inner voice that kept whispering there was something more authentic waiting for me. Did I have industry connections? No. A ready-made client list? Definitely not. But I had something that, looking back now, proved even more valuable: an absolute dedication to exceptional service and a genuine belief in the power of true collaboration.
Those early years? They were a beautiful chaos of endless hours, boundless enthusiasm, and what I now recognize was a somewhat naive but unshakeable belief that if we just did great work, great opportunities would follow. And you know what? That belief, as simple as it sounds, turned out to be our north star.

The last twenty years spanned my getting married, still installing a week before delivery, and two kids (who are much bigger today!).
Growing Through Challenges
Six years ago, I faced one of those pivotal moments that test your resolve – the classic “scale up or scale down” decision. And in a true-to-myself way, I chose the scariest path. Go big or go home, right? Today, I have the joy of leading a remarkable team of European-trained artisans and product specialists, whose combined experience exceeds 70 years. And yes, we even rebuilt our studio after a fire, but that’s a story for another day — and we’re better than ever because of it.From our home base in Bucks County, we’ve had the privilege of bringing our craftsmanship to spaces that once seemed like distant dreams — the David Adler Estate near Chicago (a House Beautiful Whole Home), installations for AD-featured design superstars, and even boutique commercial projects like the Dear Daphni restaurant with Rohe Creative and Summa International.

After scaling the business, I was able to take on bigger and better projects, like this out-of-state collaboration with Lynn Hofer in New Hampshire.
Pulling Back the Curtain in 2025
As we step into our 20th year, I want to do something different. Instead of just marking this milestone with the usual celebrations, I want to share the real stories — the challenges, the triumphs, and yes, even some of the mistakes that taught us our most valuable lessons. Throughout 2025, we’ll be pulling back the curtain, inviting you in to share these moments with us.
You’ll hear about the projects that pushed us to innovate, the relationships that transformed into cherished partnerships, and the behind-the-scenes moments that shaped who we are today. Because while our portfolio now includes collaborations with some of the industry’s most prestigious names, what truly matters are the countless conversations, the problem-solving sessions, and the moments of pure joy when everything comes together perfectly.

The Vitalia Inc. team is a passionate group of artisans and professionals who pour their heart into every project.
Looking Forward, Staying True
Twenty years in, and here’s what I know for sure: this journey has never been just about window treatments.
It’s been about trust, creativity, and the incredible privilege of being part of transforming spaces into something extraordinary.
It’s been about curating and nurturing a team of artisans who pour their hearts into every project, who see their craft not just as a job, but as a calling.
It’s been about building relationships in the industry that go far beyond business — creating a network of passionate professionals who inspire each other to reach new heights of excellence.
I’d love for you to be part of our anniversary celebration. Follow along on social media, and join our mailing list for monthly insights, behind-the-scenes stories, and special events we’re planning. More importantly, I want to hear your stories too. How has your journey in design evolved over the years? What dreams are you chasing now?

With gratitude and excitement for what’s next,
Vita
